Felda Records RM186 Million Revenue In Q1 2024

The Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) reported a revenue of RM186 million for the first quarter (Q1) of 2024, marking a 3 percent increase from the same period last year, according to Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Ahmad Zahid, who also serves as the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, said that the revenue comprised income from Felda palm lot revenue, dividends, management fees, and other sources.

In contrast, Felda’s total expenditure for 1Q 2024 decreased by 39 percent year-on-year to RM278 million. This expenditure covered costs related to plantation operations, administration, settler expenses, financial costs, and impairment costs.

In a written reply on the Parliament website to Salamiah Mohd Nor (PN-Temerloh) regarding Felda’s financial performance, Ahmad Zahid highlighted the notable improvement in the organisation’s financial management and operations.

He attributed this to the implementation of more effective strategies for cost control and efficiency enhancement compared to the same quarter in 2023.
