SACSB Secures RM7.5 Billion Investment, Creates 28,000 Jobs

Senai Airport City Sdn Bhd (SACSB), a fully-owned subsidiary under MMC Corporation Bhd (MMC), has successfully secured 150 investors amounting to RM7.5 billion in investments. Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, the Chief Minister, announced that these investors include prominent companies such as Wiwynn Technology Service Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Hershey, Mercedes-Benz, DHL, Dyson, FedEx, Haitian, Fiffy, and Supermicro, collectively generating 28,000 employment opportunities.

“This underscores Johor’s ability to attract significant investments, fostering increased job prospects and competitive wages for Johoreans,” remarked Onn Hafiz. “It is poised to enhance the socio-economic landscape locally while propelling sustainable economic activities across the state.”

“With the upcoming Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) policy, aimed at catalysing the state’s economy, I am optimistic that these economic spill-overs will benefit all Johoreans and uplift their living standards, Insha-Allah,” he shared in a Facebook update today.

Earlier, Onn Hafiz visited the premises of Wiwynn Technology Service at Senai Airport City, a leading cloud IT infrastructure provider. The company, which reported a significant profit of US$7.8 billion last year, operates on a sprawling 30-acre site, having developed two phases of its facility.

“Wiwynn’s operations encompass a server rack integration facility in phase one and an 81% completed Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) server plant in phase two,” Onn Hafiz described.

“Alhamdulillah, Wiwynn Technology Service plans to create 1,000 job opportunities by year-end, with nearly 80% of these roles filled by locals, particularly from Johor,” he added.
