PM Anwar Holds High-Level Talks With Indian Firms Tata, Emami, HCL

During his official visit to India, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim held meetings with representatives from three major Indian companies: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Emami Agrotech Ltd, and HCL Technologies. The discussions focused on potential collaborations and strengthening ties between Malaysia and these leading firms.

Tata Consultancy Services, a prominent IT services, consulting, and business solutions organisation, was represented by Ujjwal Mathur, the president of India business and strategic accounts for growth markets. Emami Agrotech Ltd, a significant player in India’s edible oils and food products sector, was led by its executive director, Manush Goenka. HCL Technologies, a globally recognised IT services and consulting company, was represented by its managing director and global chief executive officer, C. Vijaykumar.

Accompanying the Prime Minister were several key Malaysian officials, including Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo, Human Resources Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong, and Malaysian High Commissioner to India Datuk Muzafar Shah Mustafa.

Following these meetings, Anwar, who also serves as Malaysia’s Finance Minister, is scheduled to participate in a roundtable discussion with Indian industry leaders. He will also meet J.P. Nadda, the president of India’s ruling party, BJP, and engage in an exclusive interview with India Today.

Before concluding his three-day visit, Anwar will meet with Muslim religious leaders and hold a press conference for the Malaysian media. His visit to India concludes today.
