Dell Appoints Saravanan Krishnan As New Country Manager For Malaysia Operation

Dell Technologies has announced the appointment of Saravanan Krishnan as the new country manager for its operations in Malaysia. He succeeds Mak Chin Wah, who has transitioned to a new role as country manager for Asia Emerging Markets.

With over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, Saravanan is set to lead the company’s sales strategy and drive business growth in Malaysia. Grainger Wallis, senior vice president and managing director for South Asia and Emerging Markets at Dell Technologies, expressed enthusiasm for Saravanan’s appointment. “His extensive experience and knowledge in the IT industry across the region will help support our customers’ and partners’ technology ambitions,” he stated.

Saravanan joined Dell in 2015 and has held various senior leadership positions within the company. Most recently, he served as the general manager of the Unstructured Data Solutions (UDS) business across the Asia Pacific, Japan, and Greater China regions. Prior to this, he was the general manager of the Data Protection Solutions (DPS) business for South Asia and Emerging Markets.

Before his tenure at Dell, Saravanan held leadership roles at several IT firms, including Hitachi Vantara, HPE, Sun StorageTek, and IBM. He is an active member of the Singapore Institute of Directors and previously served as the Chairman of the Storage Networking Industry Association for South Asia from 2013 to 2015.

Saravanan holds an Executive MBA from the Helsinki School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Systems from the National University of Singapore.
