The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) has announced the appointment of Miss Tan Mei Phing as the Acting Chief Executive Officer, effective 20 August 2024. With a 12-year tenure at MyCEB, Tan Mei Phing has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a comprehensive understanding of the business events landscape. She has previously managed key divisions within the bureau, including Event Facilitation, Sales, Marketing & Branding, Industry Development, PR & Communications, and Market Intelligence. Her strategic oversight in these areas has played a crucial role in elevating Malaysia’s profile as a premier hub for international conferences and business events.
Tan’s illustrious career in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE) industry includes significant involvement in major international conferences hosted in Malaysia. Her career began with an international Destination Management Company (DMC), where she gained valuable experience in event management. She then advanced to the role of Professional Conference Organiser (PCO), where she honed her skills in bidding and managing large-scale events, solidifying her reputation as a seasoned professional.
