Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has announced a substantial allocation of RM15 million for the Harimau Malaya football team, aimed directly at supporting the players and coaches. The funding comprises RM10 million from the government and an additional RM5 million from corporate companies.
Anwar expressed his hopes that this financial boost would significantly contribute to enhancing the team’s performance. “I hope this funding will support efforts to elevate the performance of the Harimau Malaya team, so they can one day become one of the football giants in Asia, God willing,” he stated.
The allocation is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Malaysian football, with the ultimate goal of positioning Harimau Malaya among the top teams in Asia.
