CIMB Bank Berhad marked its 100-year anniversary with the launch of a new brand campaign titled Kita Bagi Jadi. The campaign is a social movement aimed at fostering resilience and positivity among Malaysians, featuring national icons such as Olympian Datuk Azizulhasni Awang and squash champion S. Sivasangari, who embody these values.

At the event, CIMB announced a partnership with the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (MPYO) under a one-year agreement. This includes a 30-day music camp for MPYO members at CIMB’s Akademi Nazir Razak, as well as performances at upcoming events like the Artober “Art & Soul” exhibition in October and the Rock n’ Riuh festival in December. These initiatives underscore CIMB’s commitment to nurturing young talent in Malaysia, particularly in music, sports, and the arts.

Present at the launch were Minister of Communications Fahmi Fadzil, Datin Anita Azrina, Chairman of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, and key figures from MyCreative Ventures and CIMB.

Gurdip Singh Sidhu, CEO of CIMB Malaysia, emphasised the bank’s dedication to making a meaningful impact, not only in financial inclusion but also in supporting communities through CSR programmes. He highlighted CIMB’s flagship ASEAN Scholarship programme, which has supported 120 scholars since 2016, and noted the importance of collaborations like the partnership with MPYO.

Zainariah Johari, Group CEO of MyCreative Ventures, expressed the significance of supporting young talents in the creative arts, while Hassina Begam Abdul Gani, CEO of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, praised the collaboration as a key step in cultivating musical appreciation among Malaysia’s youth.

CIMB’s new campaign extends to exclusive benefits for its Visa Infinite and Visa Signature credit cardholders, offering enhanced travel experiences and rewards with 12 airline partners, as well as access to premium lounges globally.

Toni Darusman, Group Chief Brand and Marketing Officer of CIMB, expressed the hope that Kita Bagi Jadi will inspire Malaysians to strive for excellence, as the campaign aligns with CIMB’s brand promise, Moving Forward With You.
