Selangor Roads To Close In Stages For Le Tour de Langkawi

Several roads around the Hulu Selangor, Ampang, and Kajang districts will be closed and diverted in stages on 2 and 3 October in conjunction with Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2024.

Selangor Police Chief, Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, stated that road closures on 2 October will begin at noon, affecting routes starting from Dataran Pekan Hulu Selangor, including Jalan Dato Muda Jaafar, Jalan Rasathurai, Jalan Mat Kilau, Jalan Merdeka, Jalan Syed Mansor, Jalan Kuala Lumpur/Tanjung Malim, Jalan Ampang Pechah, Jalan Kuala Kubu/Fraser Hill, and Sungai Selangor Dam.

On 3 October, closures will start at 11 a.m., beginning at KLCC, covering Jalan Ampang, Jalan Taman Putra, Jalan Hulu Langat, Jalan Bukit Ampang Menara Tinjau, Jalan Sungai Tekali, Jalan Bukit Hantu, Jalan Sungai Lalang, Jalan Semenyih, Jalan Tasik Kesuma, and Jalan Beranang.

He explained that these closures and diversions will be implemented progressively by the district’s Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, based on the race stages, to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety in the areas involved.

“Motorists are advised to avoid using the affected routes during the closure times and to plan their journeys in advance,” Hussein said in a statement today.
