The education savings scheme SSPN under PTPTN has accumulated RM18.85 billion in total deposits from a total of 6.54 million accounts over the past 2 decades.
Chairman of PTPTM Datuk Seri Norliza Abdul Rahim said the savings deposit has always shown a gradual increase which proves the its the best savings product in the country.
While acknowledging the challenges faced by PTPTN, especially on loan repayment which has been slow, the agency takes pride on the savings scheme as the best and most competitive savings product in the country,” he said.
According to Norliza, PTPTN is targeting a sum of RM220 million in deposits from a campaign BMS 2024 which will run from Sept 26 to Oct 31, 2024.
