LitUp Network Singapore Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of OMS Group Sdn Bhd, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with International Gateway Company Limited, aimed at bolstering network connectivity infrastructure in Thailand and expanding both companies’ presence in the ASEAN region.
This initiative is part of OMS Group’s ambitious US$300 million investment in expanding submarine cable systems and terrestrial infrastructure. The investment is crucial for supporting the strategic collaboration outlined in the MoU, enabling the development of advanced connectivity solutions to meet the growing demand for reliable internet services across the region.
The MoU establishes a strategic partnership between LitUp Network and International Gateway Company, focusing on various projects in Thailand and the ASEAN region. Key initiatives outlined in the collaboration include:
- Network Connectivity Infrastructure: Developing and delivering advanced network connectivity infrastructure to support the growing demand for high-speed, reliable internet services.
- Submarine Cable Landing Solutions: Establishing and managing submarine cable landing stations, points of presence, and associated infrastructure essential for the successful deployment of submarine cable systems and landing facilities.
- Future Collaboration: The partnership will extend to all future digital infrastructure projects, leveraging the expertise and resources of both parties.

The two companies are also collaborating on a new subsea cable system from Songkhla to Rayong, along with related terrestrial links, known as the Satun-Hatyai-Songkhla-Rayong cable system. This project will complement two other systems currently in development: the Hatyai to Padang Besar and Hatyai to Bukit Kayu Hitam.
This strategic partnership will not only strengthen the foothold of LitUp Network and International Gateway Company in Thailand but also aligns with their broader mission to expand their presence across the ASEAN region. By combining their strengths, the collaboration aims to deliver innovative connectivity solutions that will drive digital transformation and foster economic growth in Thailand and beyond.
