Police have clarified that a viral video showing an illegal flat-like structure allegedly occupied by undocumented migrants in Kampung Kenangan, Sungai Makau, Hulu Langat, had already been investigated during a joint enforcement operation conducted earlier this year.
The Kajang District Police Headquarters (PDRM) said the 47-second video, which resurfaced on Facebook on Tuesday, involved a location that was raided under Ops Kutip on Feb 28, 2025, together with the Selangor Immigration Department.
The operation led to the arrest of 42 undocumented foreign nationals, comprising 35 men, three women, two boys and two girls, for failing to possess valid travel documents.
All detainees were investigated under the Immigration Act 1959/63 and subsequently placed at an immigration depot pending further action.
Police also issued an IMM 29 witness summons and a search notice to a local man who identified himself as the son of the property’s owner to assist investigations.
PDRM said enforcement efforts at the site remain ongoing and urged the public to channel any information related to illegal migrant settlements through the MERS 999 hotline or the Kajang District Control Centre.
