Ali Jaleel appointed Health Systems Leader for Philips Malaysia

Philips Malaysia has appointed Muhammad Ali Jaleel as Health Systems Leader for Malaysia effective 1 February 2019, adding to his present role in the company as Country Manager and Personal Health Leader for Malaysia.

In his new role as Health Systems Leader for Malaysia, Ali is responsible for the areas of business development and growth, business transformation, people management, leadership development, quality & regulatory and compliance for the Health Systems portfolio.  

“With Ali’s wide-ranging business acumen, we are confident in his ability to grow the Health Systems portfolio in tandem and in synergy with the Personal Health portfolio that he already leads. He will undoubtedly advance Philips’ corporate vision of a health  continuum where the healthcare and consumer worlds integrate to put people at the heart of a holistic system that helps them take control of their health and stay healthy and independent. I am certain his leadership will further strengthen our work with all stakeholder segments in the healthcare ecosystem, and expand our role in supporting healthcare professionals as they work collaboratively with their peers and with patients to optimise the outcome of the healthcare system,” said Diederik Zeven, Health Systems Leader for ASEAN Pacific at Philips.     

Since joining Philips Malaysia in January 2014, Ali’s portfolio over the years included General Manager for Personal Health, Philips Malaysia, General Manager for Export Markets and Chief Executive Officer for Health Tech, Philips Malaysia. He is also currently the Chief Executive Officer for Philips Pakistan.

Ali is a member of the Malaysian International Chamber Of Commerce & Industry (MICCI) and the Malaysian Dutch Business Council (MDBC).
