3M Malaysia appoints industry veteran, GT Lim as Country Leader

Global science company, 3M has appointed GT Lim, who has been a part of 3M Malaysia for over two decades, as the new Country Leader for Malaysia. The former General Manager for the Transportation and Electronics Business Group has also taken up the role of Southeast Asia Region Sales Operations  Leader.

Starting his career with 3M in 1997, GT Lim has been an integral member of several business and functions including Personal Safety Division, Head of Technical, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and General Manager for Safety & Graphic Business Group, demonstrating his understanding of technical know-hows and a strong work ethic that catapulted Lim as 3M’s Country Leader.

Notably, GT Lim is one of the founding members of the Malaysian Industrial Hygiene Association (MIHA), a non-profit professional organisation and among the pioneers of its kind in Southeast Asia.

GT Lim will be working closely with his counterparts across the region to ace business transformation progress, accelerate growth, and deliver greater operational efficiencies. He will also be responsible for effective implementation of sales and operational strategies in the region.

He will be involved in creating collaborative opportunities with various business groups and enterprises to expand 3M’s footprint in the region. Apart from that, he will also be in charge of the building of new talent, ensuring employee engagement, and being actively involved with community events. 

Additionally, GT Lim will also be leading the SEA Region Inside Sales (IS),  Customer Face Data Management (CFDM), Customer Relationship Management  (CRM), Point of Sales (POS), Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), Product Application Support  (PAS) and Sales Support (SS).
