Employment Hero launches in Malaysia to support SMEs during CMCO

Employment Hero, an Australian people management platform, announced its expansion into Malaysia to empower local SMEs during the government-mandated work-from-home directive during Malaysia’s Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).

The expansion aims to help SMEs to better navigate common HR processes, as well as people and performance management. The platform has also launched localised versions of its signature people, payroll, and benefits solution in Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

Employment Hero will also offer a free six-month subscription for customers who sign up for a 12-month subscription, and a free three-month subscription for customers who sign up for a month-to-month subscription before Nov 28.

The introduction of Employment Hero into Malaysia comes at a time where the government is heavily focused on supporting and growing small and medium-sized local businesses.

Notably, Employment Hero is backed by the global human resources firm, SEEK, from a capital standpoint with an AU$ 22 million investment into the business last year.

“Similar to how we have helped numerous businesses across the world pivot to get through Covid-19, we want to offer Malaysian small businesses the same kind of support.

With Covid-19 globally impacting millions of small businesses, there has never been a better time to grow our mission on an international scale,” said Ben Thompson, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Employment Hero.
