Ata Plus CEO Appointed To Sit On Board Of UTHM

Ata Plus Sdn Bhd (Ata Plus), an Equity Crowdfunding (ECF) operator is pleased to announce that its recently appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Elain Lockman is appointed to sit on the Board of Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). The announcement was by the Board and Management on UNTM on 15 July 2021.

Elain holds a BSc in Actuarial Science and MSc in Operational Research from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She began her career as a Petroleum Economist in the Exploration and Production Division, PETRONAS. Through the years her career flourished in several local and multi-national companies and organizations such as Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), Malaysia Debt Ventures, Digi Telecommunications and Packet One Networks, until in 2015, when she co-founded Ata Plus Sdn Bhd.

In addition, from April 2018 to-date, she sits as the President of the Registered Digital Markets Association Malaysia.

“I am honoured with this appointment to the Board of Directors of Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). I believe I am joining the Board at an opportune time, as the University keeps up with industries and embarks on new and exciting advances incorporating the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0). Education is the cornerstone of any nation and the great leveller, the ultimate solution to the twin challenges in our country, poverty and inequality. I look forward to being able to contribute in a meaningful manner, making an impact on our future workforce and entrepreneurs,” said Elain, upon receiving the notice of appointment.

Elain currently sits as a Board Member of Reservoir Link Berhad and Daya Materials Berhad. Throughout her career, she has also championed the areas of peer-to-peer economy, management, business strategy, human resources, business development, relationship management, marketing and corporate communications. She was also on the Board of Western Union Payments Malaysia and served as Chairman of the Western Union Payments Malaysia Internal Audit Committee.
