Extraordinary Growth In E-commerce A Boon For Malaysia: Ninja Van CEO

In a response to Business Today on Ninja Van raising RM2.4 billion Series E Funding, Adzim Halim (CEO of Ninja Van Malaysia) says the e-commerce market has seen a non-stop growth trajectory that has impacted the logistics industry to develop better infrastructure amongst others.

“In Malaysia alone, the e-commerce market has been on a non-stop growth trajectory and while it is currently worth US$ 4.3 billion, this amount is expected to double to $8.1 billion by the year 2024.

“This has undoubtedly impacted the logistics industry to develop better infrastructure and relook our operating models to meet higher consumer expectations, especially in terms of speed and logistics options available,” he says.

Adzim told Business Today that through the unwavering support the company continues to receive from investors, it will be able to better support local businesses with a range of comprehensive logistics solutions that will take their businesses to greater heights.

“In the coming months, we look forward to equipping our sort centres with automatic conveyors for increased efficiency, further extending our services to non-e-commerce sectors, as well as adding up to 500 headcounts and increasing our fleet size this year to better support the growth of local SMEs and businesses.

“We trust that these efforts will allow us to take our operational excellence to the next level as we continue to deliver delight and speed like never before.”
