Mesiniaga Lands RM54 Million Contract From Astro

Mesiniaga Berhad has received two contracts from Measat Broadcast Network Systems the parent company for Astro for the supply and commissioning of Internet Service Provider Core Infrastructure and supply TGW and Mesh Wi-Fi routers.

The total value of the first contract is RM49,334,926.52 while the second worth RM4 million minimum is for RGW and Mesh Wifi router. However the company has indicated there is a possibility for the second contract to go upward to RM114 million.

According to stock filing the contract duration will be until 2027, as for the Mesh Wifi supply the RM4 million is for the minimum contract value and could potentially reach a maximum value of RM114,841,892.00. This latest agreement could be related to Astro’s recent collaboration with Telekom Malaysia wholesale for HSBB connectivity. The satellite TV station is looking to expand its offering including internet packages bundled with its programmes.
