Samaiden Wins Solar Company Of The Year

Renewable energy and environment solutions provider, Samaiden Group Bhd, has won the Solar Company of the Year for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction category at the prestigious Malaysia Solar Week Leadership Awards held virtually on 19 November 2021.

Group Managing Director of Samaiden Group, Ir. Chow Pui Hee said, “We are delighted to be recognised for this award as it is a testament to how Samaiden has grown since our establishment in 2013.

Putting sustainability at the forefront, we have served clients across various industries in improving their sustainability performance, leveraging on our know-how and extensive experience in solar rooftop projects.”

“We have built a solid track record in delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions that bring environmental benefits suited to the client’s needs. So far, we have also been involved in 7 Large-Scale Solar (“LSS”) projects in various capacities, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (“EPCC”) works, with a total installed capacity of 174 MWp.”

“Over the last 2 years which were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, we completed over 22 projects with a capacity of 2.9 megawatt-peak (“MWp”). This reflects positively on our capabilities to win and deliver projects, despite the challenging backdrop. These efforts further contribute to Malaysia’s target for renewable energy (“RE”) to reach 31% of the nation’s power generation by 2025.”

On even days, Samaiden’s Group Managing Director, Ir. Chow Pui Hee, had been conferred the coveted Emerging Business Leader of the Year Award at the virtual awards ceremony. The award honours an individual who exemplifies professional leadership in Malaysia’s Solar Industry.

Ir. Chow has accumulated over 21 years of experience in the RE sector. She holds many certifications and titles, including being a registered Professional Engineer with a Practicing Certificate in Chemical Engineering by the Board of Engineers Malaysia, and an Environmental Impact Assessment (Wastewater) Subject Consultant with the Department of Environment Malaysia, to name a few.
