Allo Technology Sdn Bhd, a Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) subsidiary, has signed an agreement with Selangor Industrial Corporation Sdn Bhd (SIC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Selangor Economic Development Corporation (PKNS) to provide backhaul and wholesale offering in order to launch broadband at selected development in the Selangor state.
Through the service offering, SIC can now venture into a new business line to be a Retail Service Provider (RSP) to their targeted market segment. SIC can provide their own broadband services with its branding and packages. In this arrangement, SIC will construct the last mile infrastructure to customers’premise and Allo will provide the backend and backhaul services
Allo’s CEO Rodzi Ahmad lauded the alliance as it marks the start of SIC’s foray into fibre broadband, allowing them to bring high quality and affordable connectivity to the people in Selangor through the strategic service agreement without having to invest in their backhaul infrastructure.
“We are proud to provide a wholesale offering to SIC which can assist them in catering to their development projects. We know that digitalisation is happening rapidly, and people are in need of connectivity. This allows SIC to provide High-Speed Broadband (HSBB) services not only for PKNS development projects but also for other strategic developments.
“Through the agreement, SIC will be launching its own ISP, SIC Broadband and will be connecting Rumah Selangorku projects and Aurora Residential in Selangor Cyber Valley in Cyberjaya,” he said, adding that other developments under SIC’s coverage can also continue to enjoy the broadband services instantly.
SIC can also expand its services to provide connectivity to businesses, industrial areas, retailers, and other government agencies, especially in Selangor, and will be expandable nationwide. Allo understands the importance of staying ahead of the global curve, especially in a digitally driven world, and is working with its partners to ensure robust, high quality and affordable digital connectivity can be served.
CEO of SIC, Ar Wan Muhd Hisham bin Hj Wan Hawari says, SIC welcomes the strategic partnership with Allo Technology Sdn Bhd in offering high-speed Broadband internet services specifically designed for Selangor Cyber Valley residents. The collaboration between SIC and Allo has started since 2017 when Allo assisted SIC in the planning of Open Access Telecomunication infrastructure network for Selangor Cyber Valley.
We will offer various affordable Broadband internet packages under “SIC Broadband” brand. We offer internet speed from 100Mbps to 1Gbps as low as RM 109 per month with the option to bundle with smart home package. The subscriber will also enjoy smart city services which have been deployed by SIC at Selangor Cyber Valley.
The smart partnership between SIC and Allo is one of the key strategic move by SIC for fast deployment of Open access telecommunication and smart city.
