The emphasis on the agricultural sector in the Selangor Budget 2022 is able to create new income and high -income employment opportunities for the community. Bank Islam Malaysia Chief Economist Dr Mohd Afzanizam Abdul Rashid said the sector had great opportunities to be explored based on the country's trade value in the field which had increased since the 90s and now stood at RM22 billion. According to him, the gap provides an opportunity for Selangor which is embodied by introducing various initiatives in the Selangor Budget 2022, including making Sabak Bernam a hub for food production and modernization of the agricultural industry. "Today's agriculture should be based on technology that can increase production, for example through the use of drones to spray pesticides or drainage .. it means more efficient then the yield of farmers and the government increases. "Other sectors will also receive tempias such as machinery maintenance, this cycle will create high -income job opportunities," he said at the Table Talk program posted on Facebook Media Selangor last night. Dato 'Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari when presenting the Selangor Budget 2022 announced Sabak Bernam to become the main food production hub in the state. Several new initiatives were implemented to develop the district in a planned manner, including developing the Seafood and Agro -Food Downstream Industry Center, which involved an investment of RM500 million. Amirudin also announced the development of the Selangor Smart Agro Park (SSAP) high -tech food security hub project in Changkat Menteri, Sabak Bernam which will begin in the first quarter of next year.
