Pekat Ends Year On A Bright Note With RM3 Million Solar Deal

Pekat and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Pekat Solar Sdn Bhd had just about closed a final deal for the year when the company received a Letter of Award from Finesse Moulding (M) Sdn Bhd for an RM3 million solar project.

The deal will require Pekat to design, supply, install, testing and commission of a 1,053 kWp Grid-Connected Photovoltaic System using Net Energy Metering (NEM 3.0) at the company’s premises in Rawang Selangor. With the aim to become more sustainable in terms of energy consumption many industries are choosing alternative energy sources like solar to balance their power usage. Finesse Moulding which is principally involved in manufacturing wooden picture frame moldings, is seeking to leverage the latest technology offered in solar photovoltaic systems. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Classic Scenic Berhad, a company listed on the Main Market of Bursa.

Pekat is one of the pioneers in solar energy systems having established itself back in 1999, the group built its reputation as a competent solution provider specialising in the design, supply, distribution, and installation of lightning protection systems, earthing systems, and surge protection system and its related technologies.

The Company expanded and ventured into Photovoltaic (PV) Renewal Energy technology in 2006. Pekat Group has grown remarkably since its inception with the successful completion of close to 108MWp from prestigious and significant PV projects for residential, private companies, developers, and government-linked companies.
