All Shah Alam Toll Lanes Resume Operation

Plus Highway has informed that all entrances and exits of the Shah Alam Toll Plaza near Section U8 Bukit Jelutong are now in full operations after being closed for more than 4 days.

The closure was to prevent motorists from plying the route which was flooded in some of the locations, ever since the weekend downpour several roads were flooded including major artery into the cities. Among them were the Shah Alam Plus Highway, the Federal Highway, and certain parts of Klang Meru highways.

The respite from bad weather since then has been a blessing for many, especially rescue efforts that do need to use the highways to get to their destination. The Director of the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said earlier several lanes of the toll plaza were closed due to flooding, but have now been reopened.

Motorists are advised to check with the highway concessionaire before making their journey, the Road Transport Department still lists many roads in Selangor and other states being inundated by high water levels and cautions on using them.
