Petronas has denied claims made by Serba Dinamik’s legal team that said the petroleum giant will be collaborating with the distressed company on wooing investors into Malaysian to the tune of RM33.9 billion.
According to reports on a local news portal, Serba Dinamik’s lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah stated that CEO Datuk Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah will attend Expo 2020 Dubai next month and will be promoting Malaysia and bring in investors together with Petronas.
However, Petronas in a rebuttal statement said it has no association on such matter and has not conducted any talks with the accused CEO, who is currently being charged by the Securities Commission for falsifying financial statements.
“There is no any form of collaboration with Serba Dinamik to jointly attract investors for any projects at the Expo 2020 Dubai, as implied in the statement, neither is there any other collaboration to jointly attract investors using other platforms” it concluded.
