The halal industry in Selangor is one of the most robust in the country with huge potential, in efforts to spur the industry even further the State government is organising the Selangor International Halal Conference (Selhac) 2022 which can match businesses who are keen to expand their business.
Halal Industry EXCO Mohd Zawawi Ahmad Mughni believes the event is a good avenue for businesses to congregate and share ideas, especially after 2 years of status quo, he targets RM20 million in transaction value during the event.
Thus far more than 40 entrepreneurs have been matched in Selhac and they are discussing transactions that will conclude in some sot of transaction value. He adds the expected value at the initial stage may reach between RM10 to RM20 million or even more. The business matching between the three components was highlighted in the inaugural conference organized by the Selangor Government in collaboration with Halal International Selangor (HIS) and the Malaysian Islamic Chamber of Commerce (DPIM) Selangor.
The three-day program also provides forums and expos to visitors, a total of 100 exhibitors participated in the event from involving clusters of food, pharmacy, beauty, tourism, fashion, and halal materials
