Ancom Berhad has appointed Lee Chuen Wei as the group’s new Managing Director with immediate effect, Lee has been in the group since 2009.
Having a strong educational background in finance with Masters in Finance from Cass Business School London, Lee started his career in 1997 as a Group Accountant at EPE Power Corporation Berhad, a Transmission and Distribution Engineering company, and was made the Chief Financial Officer of the EPE Group in 2003.
He was the Director of Corporate Finance of Tamco Corporate Holding Berhad (now Ancom Logistics Berhad, a subsidiary of Ancom Berhad (“Ancom” or “Company”)) from 2005 to 2009. He joined the Company in 2009 as the Group’s Chief Financial Officer. In July 2014, he was appointed Managing Director of Ancom Crop Care Sdn Bhd, heading the Ancom Groups Agricultural Chemicals Division. In January 2018, he was promoted to the Company’s Group CEO.
Lee is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
He currently owns ordinary shares in Ancom amounting to 16,511,280 shares (Direct) (5.82%) Warrants B in Ancom – 5,986,370 (Direct) (10.32%) and ordinary shares in Entopest Environmental Services Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the Company amounting to 50,000 shares (4%)
