The government has agreed to provide Aidilfitri Special Financial Assistance of RM500 to all civil servants Grade 56 and below including staff under the Contract Of Service, Contract For Service, Part-Time Daily Officers, and appointments under the MySTEP scheme.
The government has also agreed to provide special assistance of RM250 to government retirees. Payment for this special assistance will be made together with the payment of April’s salary on April 25.
The special assistance involves an allocation of RM923 million and will benefit more than 2 million civil servants and retirees.
The announcement of the Aidilfitri Special Financial Assistance this year was made earlier as one of the government’s measures of concern in helping them make early planning and preparations to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
This grant is to appreciate the services and sacrifices of civil servants in shouldering the responsibility of delivering services to “Keluarga Malaysia”.
