Elon Musk has finally gotten this grubby hands on Twitter after paying US$44 billion in what has been the fastest mega purchase made in technology buyout space.
Since offering US$43 with no room for negotiation clause, Elon has closed the deal at US$1 billion more than he initially agreed to despite pushback from Twitter shareholders. The billionaire who himself is a big-time supporter of the service has over 80 million followers and often uses Twitter to rant about his opinions, he has in the past even moved stocks of companies he talks about.
Upon closing the deal, Elon issued his customary response with a tweet, obviously.
