Water supply to residential and commercial areas in Selangor is expected to face disruption in supply due to the temporary suspension of the water treatment plant in Semenyih and Bukit Tampoi LRA.
The unscheduled water cut is set to take place from 3 pm 3 May until further notice, the areas include Petaling Jaya, Putrajaya, Hulu Langat, and Kuala Langat.
Pengurusan Air Selangor stated the suspension was due to pollution odour emanating from the raw water pump intake as reported in the official statement of the Selangor Water Management Authority.
Air Selangor will be mobilising water tanks to affected areas and has advised consumers to be more careful in using the resource. Conserving is good at this time until the issue is sorted out in said. Those in critical areas and are in need of emergency water supply can reach out to the concessionaire and they will try to send water tanks over.
