Healthcare Work Culture Improvement Task Force Met Virtually For The First Time On May 16

The Healthcare Work Culture Improvement Task Force (HWCITF), which was formally established on May 13, met for the first time virtually on May 16.

At this meeting, HWCITF was briefed on the management of the Graduate Service Officer (PPS) Program by the Medical Development Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) and a briefing on incidents involving the death of PPS Hospital Penang by the Penang State Health Department.

Among the other key agendas discussed was the HWCITF work action plan which involved relevant parties such as MOH health service staff at all levels, professional bodies, agencies, associations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) related to the health sector, to obtain information and input. to assist in efforts to improve the work culture of health services.

HWCITF also took note of the general views on the membership of this independent special task force and would like to clarify that HWCITF’s work process in preparing reports and recommendations will take into account all aspects and views of various parties.

This will be done by emphasizing the importance of the principles of inclusiveness and equitable (inclusive and equitable) in the health sector, especially aspects of work culture and human resource management of health staff to ensure the delivery of quality, safe and professional services.
