Cases in Shanghai have dropped significantly over the month, with the latest report submitted by the municipal health commission indicating the city had just 3 new cases and 6 asymptomatic.

This is in contrast with 4 figure rate recorded a month back and the whole city was in an imminent state of lockdown causing disruption to the supply chain both domestically and for global business partners. China has adopted a zero Covid policy in which the nation will take all precautions necessary to keep cases at zero even if that means cities need to be shut down. A policy much frowned upon and mocked by the global community.

However, things have improved and China is once again supporting the global economy with production hitting an all-time high and many factories firing on all cylinders. Auto exports for May achieved new records, surging 73% month on month with 245,000 automobiles exported a 62% jump from the previous year.
