The Gamuda board has indicated that the parties have agreed to extend the Definitive Agreement Execution date from July 31 to August 30, 2022.
This is in reference to the company’s announcement in April in relation to the receipt of the offer to purchase all the securities in Kesas, SPRINT, LITRAK, and SMART from ALR and the announcement in respect of acceptance of the offer and the proposed disposals.
However, the board had assured that notwithstanding the extension of the deadline it aspires to execute the Definitive Agreements on or before 5 August 2022.
This comes from the RM5.5 billion offer from ALR to acquire Kesas Holdings Bhd, its 70.0% owned subsidiary, Sistem Penyuraian Trafik KL Barat Holdings Sdn Bhd, Gamuda’s 51.6% associated company and Syarikat Mengurrus Air Banjir dan Terowong Sdn Bhd (SMART).
