GHL Confirms No Extra Fees For Merchant Terminals Accepting Apple Pay

GHL has confirmed that merchant terminals that are able to accept Apple Pay will not require any extra charges or additional integration or programming.

Recently the latest mobile payment service by Apple was introduced in Malaysia with selected bank’s credit cards accepted as the payment gateway, with this new service iOS device owners are able to make contactless payments using their iPhones and Apple Watches.

Kevin Lee, Chief Executive Officer of GHL Malaysia, said, “We believe that the launch of Apple Pay is timely following the reopening of borders and the growing trend of cashless transactions. With the versatility of Apple Pay, customers can easily perform transactions using Apple Pay at any NFC-based card payment terminal. All of GHL merchant terminals are Apple pay ready. ”

Malaysia is the second country in South East Asia after Singapore to launch Apple Pay, with the service supported by cards issued by Maybank, AmBank and Standard Chartered at the moment.
