KPower Berhad is pleased to announce that its shareholders have approved the change of its company name from KPower Berhad to Reneuco Berhad (“Reneuco”) during its fully virtual Extraordinary General Meeting held today.
KPower’s Executive Chairman Datuk Mustakim Mat Nun said, “The approval of our name change represents a significant step forward as we progress with our rebranding initiative. The new name Reneuco does not only provide us an opportunity to develop our own distinct identity but it also better reflects our core businesses and strength in the sustainable and green economy.”
The name ‘Reneuco’ is derived from the combination of “Re” which represents energy and green resources, “Neu” which is German for “new” to signify a new beginning for the Company in its mission for a sustainable future, and “Co” to signify cooperation is the Group’s effort to further emphasise its rebirth and renewal, its heightened focus in the renewable, sustainable and green segment and its leadership shift and continuity from the former management.
Datuk Mustakim added, “I am humbled to have a team of capable and experienced directors and management that share the same passion and dedication in propelling the business forward by expanding the Group’s presence as well as our income streams to create a sustainable business. KPower, operates in the sustainable energy and utilities segment and specialises in Renewable Energy (“RE”), was incorporated on 3rd February 1997, KPower was listed on 22nd March 2002 as a textile manufacturing company and was subsequently transferred to the Main Market of Bursa Securities in 2009.
