Firefly has recommenced passenger flights to Phuket (HKT) from Penang (PEN) using its newly refreshed Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Flight FY3600 departed from Penang for Phuket and arrived at 2.20 PM local time with 134 passengers.
The airline will operate four times weekly from Penang (PEN) to Phuket (HKT) and vice versa. The recommencement marked the second international destination for Firefly after Seletar in Singapore last June.
The service recommencement from Penang is conveniently timed to arrive at noon in Phuket to provide customers ample time to check in at their accommodations. Customers travelling to Phuket will enjoy scrumptious food and beverages, participate in handicrafts, watch street performances, stroll the beach and many more. In contrast, those travelling to Penang may explore the richness of Penang via historical colonial architecture, beautiful beaches, some of the world’s best street food and many more.”
