A total of 1.28 million civil servants will receive a special additional Annual Salary Increase (KGT) payment of RM100 for civil servants for grades 11 to 56.
The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the KGT payment was one of six initiatives offered to civil servants.
Taking the example of grade 11 civil servants who previously received the KGT rate of RM80, Ismail Sabri said, the staff will receive the basic KGT rate of RM80 and a special additional amount of RM100.
“This makes the amount of KGT received by him in 2023 amount to RM180,” he said.
According to him, the Special Financial Assistance (BKK) initiative of RM700 will be paid to civil service members Grade 56 and below while RM350 for retirees and non-pensionable veterans will be given in January 2023.
“Once again, I would like to thank all civil servants who always ensure that the government machinery moves effectively, implement policies and make every aspiration a success,” he said.
