Bursa Malaysia To Organise Karnival Saham Pahang On September 3

Bursa Malaysia together with Yayasan Pahang will jointly be organising Karnival Saham Pahang Bersama Bursa Malaysia 2022 on September 3 which will be held at Kompleks Yayasan Pahang. Themed “Labur Hari Ini Untuk Mampan Masa Hadapan”, the objective of this carnival is to educate the public about investing early, responsibly and confidently in the stock market. 

Central to the event will be the Exchange’s flagship investor education programme Sens Ability, which focuses on financial literacy, personal money management, budgeting,  savings, investing insights, and financial scams. Aside from learning how to identify fraudulent investment schemes, members of the public will also be able to learn about how to invest in the stock market. Key partners at this event are AmInvestment Bank, CGS  CIMB Securities, Malacca Securities, Public Investment Bank, and RHB Investment Bank. Aside from giving talks on topics related to investing in the stock market, both conventional and  Shariah-compliant, they will also be facilitating the opening of CDS accounts for free. Other speakers include KPJ Healthcare Berhad and also non-profit Global Peace Foundation  Malaysia, who will be exhibiting their products and services at the carnival. 

Officiated by Pahang Menteri Besar, Dato’ Sri Wan Rosdy bin Wan Ismail and graced by  Deputy Minister of Finance 1, Dato’ Indera Mohd Shahar Abdullah, this one-day event will have many exciting activities for all members of the public, including entertainment and family-activities such as drawing competitions and games, with prizes for participants.  Entertainment and food trucks are also available throughout the day’s event. There will be special appearances by Sri Pahang football players as well as head coach, Dato’ Dollah Salleh. 

“I am pleased that Bursa Malaysia is working together with Yayasan Pahang to instil good investing habits early among the rakyat,” said Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar, Chairman of Bursa  Malaysia. “Financial literacy is important for the entire family, as we need to be careful to  invest wisely for our family’s future, and not fall prey to scams.”

Dato’ Sri Wan Rosdy bin Wan Ismail said: “I am confident that the Karnival Saham Pahang  Bersama Bursa Malaysia today will bring early awareness to some of the Pahang community,  especially the people in Kuantan district. I hope that the public will take this opportunity  to open a CDS account offered for free, especially for the citizens of Pahang.”
