Liz Truss will be the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom after winning the parties Conservationist leadership race, she will formally take over the post from the beleaguered Boris Johson who lost his position after leaks appeared from his Covid-19 breach.
She will be entering 10 Downing Street at a time of unprecedented crisis for England, plagued by high inflation, energy restriction, Brexit, and a very high pound.
Liz Truss ended her short maiden speech as Conservative leader by pledging to win the next general election — and repeatedly insisting that she will “deliver.”
“We need to show that we will deliver over the next two years,” she told the audience. “We all will deliver for our country, and I will make sure that we use all the fantastic talents of the Conservative Party.”
She will be UK’s third female Prime Minister after Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May.
