Taiwan Removes Malaysia From Visa-Free Entry As It Opens Borders

Taiwan has removed Malaysia, Singapore, and a host of other countries from its Visa-Free entry from an initial list that included all these nations.

Earlier this week, the Taiwan Bureau Consular published a table online with a list of countries that allowed entry which included Malaysia, Singapore, and a host of other countries that allowed entry visa-free for 30 days.

On inquiring by a Singaporean media, the Taiwan office claimed that some of the media and public misunderstood the information that from 12 September visitors could visit the island. After coordinating with the consular, the correction was made and the misunderstanding was clarified the office added.

Taiwan had declared that it will open its borders with a notice published on Monday on its website, it stated that it will allow Visa-free travel from September 12 as it eases the Covid-19 restrictions. However, travelers will still have to submit PCR test results and undergo three days of quarantine.
