MATRADE, UPM Sign MoU To Drive University Consultancy And Training Services To The World

A MoU between Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and UPM Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (UPMH), was signed today in conjunction with MIHAS 2022. This strategic collaboration is aimed to accelerate the growth of consultancy, education and training services provided by UPM Holdings including to promote innovative, green and sustainable products, as well as technologies developed by Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to the global market. Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is ranked 123rd in QS World University Ranking 2023 and second-best university in the country.

The partnership also reflects MATRADE’s commitment in assisting SMEs to embark in export market and remain competitive globally in promoting innovative, green & sustainable products and technologies to the international markets.

This collaboration also will offer a new synergy to MATRADE personnel to upgrade their knowledge and qualifications specifically in postgraduate programmes.

According to MATRADE CEO, Datuk Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz, in the context of globalisation, the MoU will serve as a catalyst to create more market access to our top public universities’ innovative products, consultancy, and training services as well as to introduce our local universities, to the world.

Group CEO of UPMH, Azrul Reza Aziz said, it is imperative to establish the right partnership in charting the path towards world’s halal economy. The new MoU with MATRADE will leverage on UPM experts in Halal economy globally conducted by UPM Education and Training.
