Singapore Goverment Hands Out Cash To Fight Inflation

The Singapore Government is handing out cash up to $500 for eligible citizens and a $100 CDC voucher in its latest slew of measures introduced to fight inflation and the rising cost of living.

These include transport vouchers and subsidies after the rates were increased are part of the $1.5 billion special allocation that has been approved to assist the lower and middle-income groups.

About 2.5 million are expected to benefit from the latest cash handout program or 80% of income earners in what the government calls a cost of living special payment of up to $500 in cash.

Eligible recipients are those 21 and above in 2023 who have an assessable income of $100,000 in the year 2022 and don’t own more than one property.
