Rolls-Royce Spectre A Full Electric Beauty Debuts

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars have joined the future of motor vehicles with its first fully-electric car, Spectre commencing a new era of electric super-luxury for the brand.

The luxury car-marker has asked its ardent customers to wait till the end of 2023 to get their cars delivered.

CEO, Torsten Müller-Ötvös, has emphasised that Spectre is “…a Rolls-Royce first and an electric car second..”Built on Rolls-Royce’s Architecture of Luxury – 30% stiffer than any previous Rolls-Royce – Spectre will be the world’s first Ultra-Luxury Electric Super Coupé. A true four-seater, it is the spiritual successor to the Phantom Coupe.

With Spectre, the brand has harnessed a revolutionary ‘Decentralised Intelligence’ system that realises a “Rolls-Royce in high definition” with 141,200 sender-receiver variables, and a powerful 700kg battery which also serves to deaden sound.  

It also fully integrates the marque’s Whispers application – the World’s Most Exclusive Member’s Club offered, allowing clients to interact with their car remotely and receive live information curated by the marque’s luxury intelligence specialists.

Spectre is built based on a new, highly flexible all-aluminium spaceframe architecture tailored for electric drive. Its digitally integrated evolution of the renowned Planar suspension system delivering next generation of hallmark ‘magic carpet ride’ that reduces high-frequency ride imperfections whilst ensuring steering, braking and power delivery with effortless control.  

Whilst final technical specifications are still being refined during the extraordinary finessing process that concludes in the second quarter of 2023, preliminary data shows that Spectre is expected to, have an all-electric range of 520 kilometres WLTP with 900Nm of torque from its 430kW/577hp powertrain.

The car can do 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds.
