There was a viral video circulating that a power failure occurred a the Gombak polling centre, Kolej Vokasional Gombak, TNB has confirmed the matter and said it was due to internal damage to the facility.
This was also verified by the Election Commission officers at the site but has since been fixed and restored said TNB. The utility giant had earlier said it had made necessary preparation to ensure that electricity supply in all 6623 Voting Centers and 165 Official Vote Totaling Centers throughout the Peninsular.
Gombak is the ground where big names in Selangor were contending, where incumbent Dato Seri Azmin Ali was facing new face Dato Seri Amirudin Shari who happens to be the Menteri Besar of Selangor. Despite the blackout, Azmin lost his seat to Amiruddin.
GE15 has been fairly an incident-free event except for bad weather which has caused elections in 2 constituencies to be postponed, Kota Marudu in Sabah and Baram in Sarawak.
