Perikatan Nasional Chairman, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is confident that he will be able to form the next government after Abang Jo of GPS backed the Chairman as the next Prime Minister.
Gabungan Parti Sarawak which won triumphantly at the 15th General Election said it is ready to form a coalition party with PN, BN, and Sabah to form the next government. In a statement, Abang Johari Openg said Malaysia is about to face an economic crisis and the situation is about to be worse next year. “To ensure the well-being of the people and safeguard the economy, a stable and strong government has to be formed immediately,” he said.
With GPS on board, PN will have a total of 95 seats leaving just requiring another 7 to win with a simple majority. Strong rumours have emerged that BN with 30 seats will also join the PN pact making the coalition a strong 125 member.
Tan Sri Muhyiddin has till 2 pm tomorrow to present his list to the Agung along with the choice of candidate for the Prime Minister’s post.
