The large-scale New Year’s Eve celebration at Dataran Merdeka has been cancelled.
The government has chosen to cancel the celebration due to the floods, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“Given the (many states impacted by) floods and the people’s misery, the government has chosen to cancel the large-scale New Year’s celebration at Dataran Merdeka,” he added.
