Bank Rakyat Extends Profit Rate Offer Of 2.15% Per Annum Till January 31

Bank Rakyat is extending the period of offering a profit rate as low as 2.15% per annum through the Personal Financing-i product until January 31, 2023.

Bank Rakyat in a statement said, this step was taken following the overwhelming response from the public to the promotion rate which is much lower than the profit rate offered in the current market.

This special rate, which began to be offered on 1 December 2022, is open to customers who subscribe to a new Bank Rakyat Personal Financing-i account with no minimum funding requirement.

In addition, members of the public as well as existing customers also have the opportunity to take home lucrative prizes totaling more than RM370,000 in the form of two Honda HRV cars, two Yamaha LC motorcycles and 10 units of iPhone 14 smartphones.

“By offering a lower profit rate, Bank Rakyat hopes to help reduce customers’ monthly installment commitments, thereby increasing their personal cash flow as well as their spending and saving capacity,” said Bank Rakyat.

At the same time, eligible government employees and government-related companies (GLCs) also have the opportunity to enjoy the Credit Card-i promotion with one of the lowest profits in the market at 8% per annum depending on the customer’s monthly outstanding balance.
Among the main features of the Credit-i Card offered are no annual fees, no additional rates for overseas transactions involving foreign currency exchange and free takaful protection on the amount of an undetermined balance.
