Selangor State Revenue Jumps 123% To RM2.5 Billion, MB Meets PM For Better Cooperation

To begin his work in 2023, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari met with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in Putrajaya today to strengthen Federal-Selangor cooperation through the Malaysian unity government.

In a post on Facebook, Amirudin also unveiled positive developments in Selangor’s revenue, recording a total of RM2,532.86 million for the year 2022.

“During the one-hour meeting, I conveyed the aspirations of the Selangor people so that the Federal-Selangor cooperation can be strengthened under the leadership of PM Anwar through the Malaysian unity government.

“I revealed to him that the state’s revenue at the end of 2022 was RM2,532.86 million, exceeding the target of RM2,050 million which is a 123.55 percent achievement,” the post read.

Amirudin said a number of issues related were also thoroughly discussed, including state development, flood mitigation, and road maintenance

Amirudin thanked the Prime Minister for all the important inputs and advice which he said will be put to good use for the betterment of Selangor.

Amirudin added that he hopes Iltizam #KitaSelangor would become the key to a more integrated Malaysian development programme in order to realise a common progression agenda in the future.
