A total of Bank Rakyat’s 530 i-Rizq Plus Investment Account customers won monthly draws totalling cash worth of RM330,000 since the investment account was introduced in July 2022.
The monthly draw was implemented to appreciate the support and customer trust, includes 10 main gift categories where selected customers can receive RM10,000 in cash each, while 15 others took home RM5,000 each.
In addition, consolation prizes of between RM1,000 and RM100 were also won by lucky customers.
Bank Rakyat Chief Executive Officer Dr Mohammad Hanis Osman said, “The Investment-i Rizq Plus Account, which is well received by the Bank’s customers, allows customers to invest in Shariah-compliant financial activities while having a chance to win exciting prize draws on offer,” adding, the initiative is in line with Bank Rakyat’s commitment to foster the habit of investing and saving.
He added the bank encourages its customers to invest and save consistently to meet financial commitments.
Interestingly, the i-Rizq Plus Investment Account half-year campaign draw will be carried out again in February 2023. Lucky customers have a chance to win prizes amounting to RM100,000 with only having to maintain an average monthly balance of RM1,000 for six months.
One of the winners, Rohana Mohd Kassim from Selangor said she was grateful to Allah SWT for providing sustenance from an unexpected source. “I am happy to be selected to win RM5,000 and I feel the i-Rizq Plus Investment Account is an incentive for people to invest while having a chance to win cash prizes”, she said.
Meanwhile, Aminah Ab. Rahman from Melaka said, she took out money from her retirement savings from another Bank and invested in her i-Rizq Plus Investment Account and was grateful for winning the lucky draw in the second month she joined the scheme and the investment was a joint investment among friends.
“Bank Rakyat is always committed to approach depositors and customers to encourage them to save, wisely invest and plan their finances. Through savings and investments, customers can form a safety net to overcome any expected challenge of economic instability,” said Dr Hanis.
