Netflix is lowering the price of its Basic Plan from RM35 to RM28 per month in Malaysia.

The over-the-top subscription video on-demand service provider said in a statement on Tuesday (February 21) that its goal is to offer a wide choice of quality episodes and films curated for users.

It stated that new users who sign up will see the new Basic Plan price take effect immediately, beginning Tuesday.

Netflix stated that this upgrade will be available to existing customers starting with their next billing cycle in the coming weeks.

Existing members will be notified through email, with the exact timing dependent on the member’s billing cycle.
