State Has Yet To Approve PJD Link Highway

The state government has not given any approval regarding the construction of the Petaling Jaya Dispersal Link (PJD Link), says Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

The Menteri Besar said previous approval for the project was given by the former Federal government.

“Additionally, the developer for the PJD Link project has not submitted any proposed changes to the state government. In fact, as in the past, the developer stated that they would work to limit resident complaints.

“The state government does not currently have any plans for PJD Link unless they meet us,” he said during a press conference at Parliament, here yesterday.

In July last year, Amirudin stated that the state government would thoroughly review the developer’s report before approving the construction of the PJD Link project.

However, to date, the state administration has not yet received any reports, which is a requirement of the concession agreement with the developer.

Previously, some 50 Petaling Jaya residents gathered at Jalan Prof Khoo Kay Kim to protest the PJD Link project, which the Federal government had approved in principle.
