Takaful-4-All To Help Flood Victim Claims In Affected States

The Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA) has mobilized the Takaful industry collectively to provide assistance to flood victims in the country, especially in Johor, through the ‘Takaful-4-All’ campaign initiative.

Although the government machinery at both the state and federal levels is already mobilized, the work of cleaning up and relocating will require high costs and manpower. The spirit of mutual assistance from various segments of society can help facilitate the affairs of affected victims, considering that urgent action is needed. Initiatives by the Takaful industry led by MTA is focused on 4 priorities, namely:

  1. Facilitating and expediting claims and sharing of information via the Hotline for all Takaful companies to share together.
  2. The Takaful-4-All (T4A) campaign will be launched to collect essential items. Takaful customers who want to contribute can also contact MTA or send goods to the collection center. Further information will be announced on MTA’s official Facebook and Instagram page under ‘Malaysian Takaful Association’.
  3. Follow-up actions of Takaful-4-All (T4A) will be expedited for flood center assistance. This will be followed by other efforts from Takaful operators.
  4. MTA is ready to bring the ‘Takaful-4-All’ (T4A) team to help with cleaning up and providing assistance to affected areas.

Mohd Radzuan Mohamed, CEO of MTA, said, “MTA is committed to providing assistance and expediting claims to flood victims.”

According to Radzuan, “In response to the crisis, MTA will immediately launch the ‘Takaful-4-All’ campaign as a collection center for essential items that prioritize the low-income group in line with the government’s initiative to help this B40 group. MTA calls on all Takaful operators to support this effort and contribute to this initiative. At the same time, we would like to deeply thank various government agencies in the issue of flood disaster management, especially in Johor at present.”

MTA takes this opportunity to remind the public to be aware of all announcements by the authorities about the latest flood information. MTA also reminds everyone to remain vigilant and follow the authorities’ instructions. Safety must be a priority, especially with regard to electricity and food safety.
